Parks & Recreation Advisory Board

Purpose

The Board, as a subsidiary commission to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen:

• Advises on and reviews parkland recreational facilities and recreational programs
• Advises on and reviews long-range recreational plans
• Coordinates and recommends properties and/or recreational facilities
• Reviews the maintenance and utilization of all buildings and physical facilities devoted to park and recreation programs

Membership

The Board consists of nine (9) members appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. A member of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen serves as an ex-officio member.
